The best sunset catamaran tour in Guanacaste, Costa Rica!

As the Green Season in Costa Rica slips away and the rain disappears, it is time for some unforgettable sunsets. Beautiful, picture-perfect sunsets are a daily delight and attract many people to sit back, relax and take in the symphony of colors that the sky gifts us with. A Guanacaste sunset is taken to a new level when you are on a catamaran cruising up and down the coastline. The best Guanacaste sunset is when you are on a Lazy Lizard Sunset Tour!

The Costa Rican province of Guanacaste is located on the northern Pacific Coast, covering a large part of the Nicoya Peninsula. This is where you find stunning white sand beaches, bays with calm waters, the best surfing waves for both amateurs and professionals, and incredible sunsets.

Lazy Lizard Sailing has a catamaran that sets sail in the mornings and in the afternoons. The afternoon tour is filled with beautiful landscapes, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and relaxing, like the morning tour. What the afternoon tour has is that it has stunning sunsets to enjoy. So sit back and enjoy the sky lighting up with reds, oranges, blues, purples, and pinks!

What time do we leave?

At whatever time of the year, the sunsets in Costa Rica occur at about the same time, give and take about 15-30 minutes. This means that around 5:30 pm every day, the sun begins its descent to the horizon filling the sky with its spectacle of colors. So where better to enjoy this art display than on a catamaran sailing along the Guanacaste coast with a tropical drink in your hand? This is what the Lazy Lizard Sunset tour is all about.

To take advantage of the afternoon sun, the tour will leave around 2 pm from the newly opened Flamingo Marina, a state-of-the-art marina on one of Costa Rica´s most beautiful beaches of the same name. Climb aboard the luxury catamaran, and the journey up the Guanacaste coastline begins.

How long does the tour last?

The Tropical Sunset Tour lasts about 4 hours, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the spacious and luxurious catamaran and all the activities and comforts the tour offers. The sun is still shining brightly during most of the tour, so don´t forget to bring sunscreen and a hat, as this is a tour filled with Vitamin C and D!

Upon leaving the Flamingo Marina, the catamaran will glide north along the Guanacaste coastline dotted with idyllic beaches, luxury homes, and surf spots. Our destination is a secluded bay which is perfect for the adventure part of the tour if you can pull yourself away from the catamaran.
